在国家一级作曲王惠然、国家一级演奏员汤凯旋、国家一级演奏员、香港演艺学院民乐系主任余其伟、星海学院民乐系副主任谭炎健等专家们的指导下，青少年民乐团的演出水平正不断提高，成为我市传播民族音乐的一支生力军。

◆Folk Music Ensemble of Zhongshan Youth：

    Folk Music Ensemble of Zhongshan Youth Founded in 2004, Folk Music Ensemble of Zhongshan Youth is a branch unit of Folk Music Association for Zhongshan Youth Fans. Combined with Folk Music Band of Teachers and Folk Music Band of Youth, which both belong to Zhongshan Youth Club, the ensemble has over 70 members now. Since the founding of the ensemble, it has been actively promoting the popularization of Guangdong Music, among which is the great work of Mr. Lu Wencheng, who is a great master of Zhongshan's Folk Music. Folk Music Ensemble of Zhongshan Youth has taken part in large-scaled shows in Zhongshan City for many times. It ever held exclusive concerts in Foshan City and Zhongshan City and won high praise by experts and audience. The ensemble was often invited by Zhongshan Municipal People's Government to give performance in honor of national and provincial officials during their visits in Zhongshan.

    The ensemble has ever given performance on visit in Japan , Hong Kong and Macao , which won warm welcome from local audience and displayed Chinese national culture and art to our fellow folks and foreign friends home and abroad.

    Under the instruction of famous experts such as Wang Huiran, national grade 1 composer, Tang Kaixuan, national grade 1 actor, Yu Qiwei, Director of Folk Music Department of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and Tan Yanjian, Deputy Director of Folk Music Department of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Folk Music Ensemble of Zhongshan Youth is continuously improving its performance and turns out to be a live force in promotion of folk music in Zhongshan City.
